The Cotillion Today program is designed to teach our youth the social graces that will give them more confidence, poise and self-assurance. Students will learn and practice etiquette, manners and social dances in a structured, but fun, environment.
Skills taught include: making a good first impression, good posture, giving/receiving compliments, formal and informal table manners, written correspondence and proper introductions. 'Netiquette' (the proper use of the internet) and cell phone use will also be covered. Social dances taught will include traditional ballroom, swing, rthym (latin) and line/formation dances; incorporating both casual and semi-formal styles.
Our program runs from September though November (bi-monthly classes) and end with a formal dance, the 'Snow Ball', where the youth will be able to practice the manners, dances and conversational skills that they have learned.
